PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC – 10.04.2024

Genesis Growth Equity Fund I has successfully divested its entire stake in Homecare Holding to Penta Hospitals CZ, marking the fund's first exit

Homecare Holding is one of the leading providers of home healthcare in the Czech Republic, with regional operations in Prague and Pilsen. The company provides post-operative care, monitoring patients' conditions in a home setting, administers medications, and focuses also on specialized procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, parenteral nutrition administration, and wound care. With around 50 nurses, Homecare Holding provides care to over a thousand patients annually.

Penta Hospitals is already providing home care in several regions of the Czech Republic. Further expansion via the acquisition of Homecare Holding is a suitable addition both in terms of the quality of services provided and regional coverage. With this acquisition, one of the largest entities providing home healthcare in the Czech Republic is formed, employing nearly 100 nurses, with ambitions for further growth.

Quality home healthcare also complements the emerging trend of day surgery and orthopedic operations, reducing the risk of rehospitalization through this form of post-hospitalization care. It is a concept that has proven very successful and has spread in Western and Northern Europe, providing higher comfort for patients who can undergo recovery or long-term care at home.

Radim Jasek, Partner of the Genesis Growth Equity Fund I stated: "In recent years, we have successfully transformed a traditional healthcare provider into a modern systematic concept of comprehensive care in a home setting. Our approach is based on nurses' high level of expertise, supported by a wide range of modern digital tools. Thanks to a new management team, the company has succeeded in growing both organically and through acquisitions. We are pleased that thanks to the entry of Penta Hospitals, Homecare Holding will be able to continue to develop dynamically".

Jiří Beneš, Managing Partner of Genesis Growth Equity Fund I, added: "We invested in the company in 2020 and supported the transformation and digitalization of the business. We are pleased to have contributed to the sizable organic growth of Homecare Holding while also integrating add-on acquisitions. For Genesis Growth the sale of Homecare Holding represents the first fully realized investment of GGEF I, and we are pleased that the investment generated a substantial return for our investors."
